Andrei Krasulin
Andrei Krasulin demonstrates an indifference to the mimetic aspect of plastic art and he instead peers in the heart of things to show rhythm and the breath of nature in his works.
His large bas-reliefs extract from the walls of memory, figures, objects and architectural fragments, columns, and details of landscape with which he models his vision. For the artist a wall is "akin to a sheet of paper" in that both serve to model infinite space, which is an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
Apprehending the essence of being, faith in the creator and his creations is central to Krasulin's body of work. Aptly stated, art is not a profession, it is the way you live your life.
