„It was with pleasure that I painted studies after nature when I used to travel across Russia in the pursuit of integrity and abstraction. However, I eventually arrived at the three basic elements sky, woods and earth [...].“
The book about the life and the works of Mikhail Krunov is best described as the first larger release about the artist, who debuted his artistic pursuit in the former Soviet Union.
He enhanced the tradition of Moscow’s non-conformist artists of the sixties and developed his own style.
Alexei Kamensky, Vladimir Andreenkov and Yuri Zlotnikov belong to the artist’s most influential teachers.
Next to painting, Krunov is also dedicated to video art and photography.
This volume displays numerous reproductions as well as Mikhail Krunov’s biography and texts revealing his artistic development.
